This piña or pineapple silk kimona is not only painstakingly beaded and embroidered, the scraping, knotting and weaving of which is done entirely by hand because of the delicate strands of pineapple fibre. In the olden days, this was considered casual wear with a plaid knee-length skirt. We'd wear it with a pair of jeans.
